I FINALLY have my room cleaned up enough, I am willing to take a picture. I had just cleaned it after my Sweethearts Retreat layout and was just starting on a new card. I hope it gives you some ideas of what to do with a spare bedroom. I don't have any fancy furniture, but it suits me. I'd rather spend my money on scrapping supplies than furniture (as you can see from my "eclectic" mix of styles).

If you have a question about how I'm storing anything, just pm or email me.

Enjoy!

My craft room is never this clean! I just did two back to back weekend crops and then spent a whole day unpacking and putting everything away!

OK, here are some pics of my new scrap loft. It's still a work in progress but it's nearly done and very much in use. Ann has seen it but certainly not as clean as it was in these pics! I love to create in here and "get away" from it all. It's like a mini retreat each time I go there. Hope there are some things in my room that inspire you. The color on my walls is "Piglet Pink" and since I'm a huge die hard piggy fan it's fitting! See if you can find all my pigs :D Image

LibraryScrapper,

What do you hang you punches on? I've seen this many times and would like to do this as well.
Thanks in advance.

As you can see by this photo I have things everywere on my dining room tabletop! I don't have a designated craft area, so the dining room table is my current victim! I find it much more interesting to start with a certain idea and just paw through everything looking for the pieces that fit with my idea! By the way what you don't see in this photo is the mess on my countertop, the things I shoved in my cupboards below, the 3 stacable boxes, two cardboard boxes, and a large plastic tote holding supplies!

I bought 4 cafe rods at IKEA for 2.99 each. Such a deal. They work wonderfully!!

This is my new studio. I also homeschool my two daughters here so we are in here a LOT!! It is still a work in progress but slowly it is coming together. It is in our basement which we had built out at the end of last year. Between our room and my husband's new "mancave" (which is accessible through the double doors) we spend the majority of our time indoors down here!!

Our biggest challenge in this room has been the lighting. I was supposed to get recessed lights around the perimeter and a raised center. The A/C guys ran the ducting around the perimeter so the electricians would not install the lights that were planned. The builder "assured" me I'd have enough light. All I was left with was the light fixture off the ceiling fan. He obviously is NOT a crafter!! I think we may end up bring the ceiling fan a little lower and possibly get a brighter light attachment. There is a covered patio outside the windows so that also keeps much sunlight filtered. BUT DH came to my rescue and found me a mountable Ott-Lite to help along my scrap/stamp wall. It has been much better with that!!

When we got the builder's quote I was shocked at how much they wanted for the little bit of cabinetry that I wanted. So we decided to do that ourselves. I picked out some stock pieces from Lows and DH installed them himself (and he built the shelves between them too). With the money we saved there I was able to get my one "dream" item which was the stained and polished concrete floor!!! No need to worry about spills. Super easy clean and care!

This is also our guest bedroom. There is a twin bed and then beneath that is another twin bed that raises up.
